AUSTRALIA's Cricket Downfall

Australia ruled over Cricket since last decade.They were number one in test cricket and in ODIs.
But they always play controversial cricket. (Sledging/Racial comments and what not)


I wasn’t a fan of Australia’s cricket team due to this arrogance and win at all costs attitude.

Now as over the past year Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Adam Gilchrist, Justin Langer and Damien Martyn have fare welled the Test arena, and Ricky pointing left with bunch of cry babies and monkeys , their true strength is coming out now....


Australians has not been performing as it should..i mean we (INDIANS) beat them and now SA beat them too.

I am so happy to see Australians going down as somebody rightly said " What goes around comes around:.... ha ha ha

Is 20-20 good for Cricket?

20-20 cricket is not bowler-friendly, the new version of the game is good for youngsters and certainly has high commercial value to attract new viewership.

While it worries me T20 cricket discourages bowlers, I can see it is a good package from a commercial standpoint. It brings new viewership to the game and is a good entry level game for kids. But that said, Test cricket must be preserved.

I don't think T20 cricket is that difficult. There is no need for proper fielding, neither does anyone think much about where to place the ball. But I am firm that even in this form of the game you need to play sensibly.

I don't think we need sloggers in the team to hit the ball wildly. We should learn from the IPL and international matches that proper batsmen always prevail over sloggers.

If you analyse the data for last 20-20 world cup , you will definately come to know what I mean to say here.

Batsmen scoring runs in T20 cannot be rated as better batsmen because they will need to prove themselves in the longer version of the game.

I love test cricket. There are so many things that 20-20 cant do. In test it is a skill to use the ball for 80 overs, how to shape up the ball for the spinners in the middle over and how to rough it up on one side and keep in shining on the other for reverse swing in the later overs. How to save the wickets in the final session, the pleasure of getting a wicket on the last ball of the day. The strategy when to declare, whether to go for a follow on or not. Great stuff.

Finally....
I think 20-20 will stay here and will make cricket only better. So in coming time we will see a lot of closely fought ODIs and may in the future see some super exciting sessions in the Test Cricket, where a batsman may come and smack the bowler all over the ground 20-20 style and change the whole match.

Everybody definately remember First test against England at Chennai Dec 2008, Sehwag hit four sixes in his 83 off 68 balls as India finished the day on 131-1, needing a further 256 to win.


India WON the test match and series both.
What a show of massive power!!!
